feeling bad... feeling good

During my last OB visit, I was told that I gained 6 pounds already and that I should try not to gain weight anymore until my sixth month. But some people from the office told me that I lost weigh and they're wondering why my tummy is still small. Should I be worried? What am I supposed to look like ba if I'm on my fourth month na? I was actually tempted to ask my OB if it's just normal to have a small tummy at this month but decided to wait nalang until my next OB visit on March 2. Hay naku, they make me nervous!

Anyway, I'm excited to buy maternity clothes on Sunday. I'm not naman complaining (bka ksi magtampo si baby). Yun lang naman ang medyo hassle pag pregnant but other than that masarap na lahat.
.
Francis is super patient and sweet. Even if I'm masungit or always complaining, he tries to understand my situation. Last wednesday (V-DAY) we didn't plan anything special. He just asked me to have dinner. Since I'm super excited (and hungry) I was home really early and waited for him to pick me up. Yun pala yung surprise nya sa house yung dinner pero he'll set up the terrace at the 2nd floor. He bought all my fave foods (Tempura, Cali Maki, Shrimp Pasta, KFC chicken) and flowers. But since I got home before he did it did not become a surprise but still I was really happy and touched ksi nakaisip papala sha ng gimmick. Ako nga I didn't buy him anything.
.
Happy Weekend!!!! :)

2nd Trimester

I'm on my fourth month now. Thank God my morning sickness is gone! I feel so much better especially because I can see my tummy getting big. :) I love looking at the mirror and just stare at my tummy. It still amazes me that a living creature is inside me. I can't wait to feel baby move and when that time comes I'll definitely tell everyone about it!
I'm back to work but I can't tire myself too much. I"m not allowed to travel which is fine by me. I'll sacrifice everything just to keep our baby safe.
I'm already sleepy that"s why I can't think straight. This entry is intended not just to update everyone with my pregnancy but to greet you as well "Happy New Year". May we all have a good year. It's better late than never right? :)

1st trimester of Pregnancy

I can't eat much because I always vomit every after meal. Now I know sensitive ako mag buntis. Like the other day, I was craving for Sinigang na Hipon nag punta kami ng dampa ni Francis.

My next OB check up will be on Jan. 8. Hopefully, I can go back to work basta sabihin lang ng OB ko na safe na gumalaw galaw. Gusto nya ksi matapos muna yung 1st trimester since may history nako ng miscarriage. Mega careful na kami. Kaya nga until now di parin ako pwede mag xmas shopping baka mastress daw ako sa kakalakad and all.. hay........

After 10 Years....

... we got our wedding album and video from Bern Mejias Photography (finally!!). It took them soo long to finished both. We sent them the pix that we wanna include in the album and the songs for the video 7 months ago and we just got them the other day. I didn't pressure Bern to finish the album and video right away because I wanna make sure both will be really, really nice. Fortunately, he kept his promise because the album is indeed beautiful and the video is just the best. My dad can't say anything but praises. At least, we got what we paid for. My mom cried again when she saw the video especially at the scene where we were walking down the isle. Even my dad got teary-eyed. I even cried myself when I saw that scene though during the actual wedding I stopped myself from crying because I didn't wanna look bad in the pictures (ha ha ha).

I can't believe the wedding was almost a year ago. The album and the video brought a lot of good memories (from the preparation up to the actual wedding). It would be nice to get married again (still with Francis of course he he).

I had dinner with my friends/co-teachers, Kay and Bess, last Thursday in Contis, BF. We used to talked about wedding preps, work-related issues, shopping, etc. when we were still teachers in Elizabeth Seton. The 3 of us resigned from that school because of personal reasons. Kay has to give priority to her family especially when she got pregnant. They have now adorable Marga. Bessie has to live in Singapore with her hubby and her kid, Nathan (now she's 5 months pregnant again, hopefully it will be a girl this time). She's here in Pinas right now for a check-up (she's more comfortable with Filipino female OBs). And as for me, I am happily married with Francis Atacador and happily working as a training officer in Cebu Pacific. And with God's blessings, we hope to have healthy kids on our own soon. :)

Happy and Sad

I've been very lazy updating my blog lately.. All I wanna do is to sleep after work. Super tamad talaga ng feeling ko. Anyway, my happy kwento is about my trip to Bora with Francis. Since bday nya last Nov. 13 (thanks Cebu Pac for the free ticket he he) he decided to celebrate his bday there. So Nov. 11 (Sat) we took the 1st flight to Kalibo and we stayed sa station 1 Bans Beach Resort. We appreciated Boracay better than our last visit in 2004 coz mas konti yung tao, mas malinis yung beach. Nakapag relax talaga kami. Shempre being a cam slave, dami na namin pictures sa beach and sa mga restos and bars na pinuntahan namin. The sad part is, we lost our camera on our second night and aalis na kami the next day coz Francis has to work on a tuesday. Before we even realized that our cam is missing, excited pa si Francis na mag celebrate so we were waiting na mag 12am para exactly bday nya. F*** talaga! Dun lang talaga namin na iwan yun. It was 10pm, sa sobrang bad trip namin, we decided to go back to our resort and nagmukmok sa room. Yung pang 3rd day namin, since 430pm pa flight namin, nag swim lang kami sandali pero super sad na kami ksi wala man lang kaming pictures sa Bora trip namin. Nadiscourage narin kami bumili ng disposable cam since sandali nalang and we're going home.

Hay, kainis talaga.. hopefully may magandang kapalit yung Bora trip namin (it would be nice if Bora Baby he he)

After two looonngggg weeks without internet connection (due to the typhoon), 14 days without checking my yahoo mails, 360 hours without logging on friendster and 28,800 minutes without any blog posts, FINALLY (this goes for a celebration) , smart was able to do something about our disconnection I am one happy biatch!!! he he he... I think I called smart customer care 5 times and harrased their agents non-stop! Don't they know that it's a no-no to promise something to their customers tapos di naman nila magagawa? Shempre super expect ako pag sinasabi nila na meron na the next day only to find out na wala parin. Hay... na-stress ako sa SMART!

Anyway, this is my 1st post for October... Yeeheee.. BER month na... there are plenty of reasons to celebrate: long vacation because of All Saint's Day, Bday of my husband on Nov. 13, Bday of my dad on Dec. 24 and of course, Christmas and New Year... not to forget the endless shopping, 13th month, Christmas bonus.. happiness indeed! :)

To share some happy moments in the office.. here are some pix that I wanna share to everyone.. To my bestfriend Rhea, welcome back.. work is more fun with you around..

Sleepy Head

I can't wait to be home tonight, eat dinner and sleep really early! Since Monday, I haven't had a decent sleep. :(

Monday night, I went out with my boss and Keight for a few bottles of beer (alcoholic na ito), met my husband and he invited us over sa bar ng boss nya. It's a private bar intended for their clients. Kaya that night, we had the bar all to ourselves. Napasarap yung kwentuhan kaya we went home late na. With all the alcohol in my body (a bottle of san mig light and a few shots of tequilla), I woke up super thirsty(and early!!). I had to force myself to take a bath and go to work. I planned to sleep early yesterday but francis got a call from a friend of ours (a neighbor as well) that his dad just passed away (early tuesday). We went to the wake last night. As usual, we saw some friends, we didn't notice the time. Again, I slept late kaya when I woke up this morning, bigat ng katawan ko.

I will sleep early tonight! Please, no more event or something because for sure, I'll decline. I look hagard. I look worst. My hair is soo dry. My skin is breaking out.. isama pa yung pagod sa biyahe last week. I need one whole day sa house na walang ginagawa at kumain lang. I can't afford naman to be absent ksi kulang na kami dito sa office. :(

Wish me luck tonight.. :) hopefully, I'll be refreshed tomorrow...

The Simple Life

It has been a while since my last post... work really kept me busy. I was in General Santos (a.k.a tuna haven and Manny Pacquiao home town) for a week. It was quite an experience... an exciting one acually because I got to travel on my own for the first time.. Let's journey going to Gen San.....
.
Since we'll be starting our Gen San flight on October 2, together with my boss, we went there to hire a number of employees for Airport operations. It was a thursday (Sept 7) and we went back to Manila the next day (Sept 8). The hard part during our travel was the travel itself (hmmm...). We took the first flight to Davao (1 and 20 minutes), upon arrival to Davao, 30 minutes taxi drive to the bus station then 3-hour bus ride to Gen Santos City and 15-minute taxi drive to our Hotel (finally!!!!). We got there around 11am, we rested for an hour, ate lunch then started the interview at 1pm until 5:30pm. Recruitment is over, time to go home the next day.
.
After spending the weekend in Manila, I went back to Gen San the following Monday but this time I was all alone! I had to stay there for 4 days (Sept 11- 14) because I conducted orientation and customer service training. It was something new and different because I haven't done anything like it before (travelling without anybody to an unknown place). Even if I was just there 2 days ago.. It was different being on my own.

But then, i realized it wasn't scary at all!! My journey was peaceful. I had the chance to interact with the people in Gen San. The taxi and tricycle drivers were nice and friendly. The hotel staff were accommodating and the service was just great. I learned so much from my partipants. They shared with me how simple life is in Gen San. The biggest mall that they have is KCC (but nothing compared to our malls here sabi nila). I was curious i just got to see it! So after the 1st day of training, i took a cab going to the mall (15 minutes away) and I was not surprise to see less boutiques and restaurants. It was as big as SM sucat without the building B. I can't imagine Manila not having bazaars and tianges and in Gen San.. you have to appreciate what is there because that's just the way it is. Night life? nothing! If you look outside the streets/roads at 8pm onwards.. peaceful. To think my hotel is located at the city!! Minimum wage is 200-230 a day but it can be as low as 150. Buti nalang the cost of living is very cheap and affordable. I took a tricycle from the mall to the hotel and I was just asked to pay for Php6 if double ride (meaning may kasabay na iba) or Php12 if private. Good deal right???? I gave the driver Php25, ang bait ksi. :)

I have pictures together with my participants including our Videoke gimmick on my last night. Th hotel has a KTV bar so I invited them over. We started at 8pm and ended at 10:30pm (super early I know) coz mahirap na daw sumakay ng ganun ka late. Hay.... life at the province...
I woke up at 4am the next day, packed my things and started my journey towards home.... another bus and airplane ride.. long and tiring day....

Will I go back to Gen San? Definitely! but if that time comes, no more bus travel because I'll be flying Cebu pacific directly to Gen San, woohooo!! :) more grilled tuna, kare-kare na buntot ng tuna and kinilaw na tuna! the best dishes I tried... yun nga lang nagsawa ako sa tuna... :)

Pictures to follow.... :)

Stress + more Strees = White Hair

Sad to say.. I got it from my dad.

When I had my hair rebonded 1st week of July.. my hair dresser noticed that I have more white hair now than before (7 months ago when I had my hair cut). I wasn't bothered that time because he applied deep brown cellophane so after the rebonding thingi.. my hair is oh so straight and black. Until yesterday when I was fixing my hair I noticed strands of white hair (a lot actually) in every corner. I got goose bumps seeing them and I started to panic. What If my hair turns all white when I turn 30???? Will I rely on hair coloring then? and start having dry and frizzy hair? and dye my hair every after 3 months???? Ugghh!!! talk about hassles and "mana" (If only I had a choice) I would't have this problem. I guess I've to visit the parlor again for another cellophane. That would mean spending like 1000-1500? I could have a nice blouse or jeans or shoes with that!!!
So much for getting frustrated and sad over my hair (I stil am). The good news is Francis is willing to finance the expenses on my "silly" problem. Thank you hon! You're a life saver!!! :)

Yesterday, my boss Ed, Keight and I had a buffet lunch in HYATT Hotel. HYATT is one of our hotel partners and my boss became friends with one of the directors of the hotel. Ms. Alma invited Ed for lunch and we were asked to join them. I ate too much I felt really sleepy when we were going back to the office. I swear I won't eat dinner anymore but one of our OJTs brought pancis Malabon for miriende because it was her last day at the office. I didn't keep my promise. What the heck! Masarap kumain. :)
*
When I got home, I joined Francis and his former Globe officemates at their drinking session. I didn't eat dinner anymore but I think I almost finished the grilled tuna that we served for pulutan hi hi hi... I had four bottles of beer (my capacity is 3) I think I got a little bit drunk. I laugh hard over simple jokes and funny stories. Thinking about it now... nakakahiya ata ako.. though Francis assured me I was still in control last night. Hay buti nalang.

Francis surprised me with a new car. Not Getz but Black Honda City Automatic. Wooohhooo! :) I like it more than GETS, well, because its bigger and looks better. I'll be taking a pic of it which reminds me, I have to get my cam from my sis. We'll have our first long drive tomorrow to Tagaytay using our new car. :) Really nice.. :)

Thanks Holiday!

I've been neglecting my blog for more than a week already. Salamat nalang at holiday ngayon. I've the whole time for myself. Francis is in Cavite right now w/ friends. Sinasama nga nila ako sa fishing but I'd rather stay at home and be with my computer hi hi.. :)

SATURDAY FUN DAY!
We invited my family and some relatives here at home last Saturday. They wanna see our house ksi. Goodluck! Ihaw ihaw lang ang kaya ko. he he... Inuman and kwentuhan galore from 3 to 9pm. Yung maid pa namin umalis kaya super hugas and linis ako kainis! Kapagod pala yun! Buti nalang my mom was there to help me. :)

CAR HUNTING
When Francis and I decided to sell my car (Honda City '98) given by my dad when I was in college.. we knew that we'll have a hard time using only just 1 car. His work sched and mine don't match kaya he has to wake up early everyday to bring me to work. Wala naman problem sa kin yun coz he promised to buy me a new car pag nakaluwag na sila. And super tamad na din ako mag drive.. gusto ko nga hatid and sundo nya ko everyday. When he told me na bibili na kami ng car.. di ko alam if I'll be happy. It means I've to drive myself everyday to and from work. Uggh! He'll sell his car na din (Honda Vtec) para 1 brand new and 1 second hand mabili namin. Yung bro in law ko na yung bibili kasi yung car nya bibilin ng dad ko for my brother.

Yesterday, we visited Hyundai, Pasong Tamo. GETZ ksi yung gusto namin bilin na brand new. Cute nya ksi para shang mini car. Hunchback na 5 door and itsura nya. We want color black. Hopefully may available...

Oh well.. we'll see if it's still in good condition. Sa QC pa kasi titingnan..

MY FAIRY PRINCESS

Last Saturday my niece, Julia, celebrated her 1st bday. She was really cute with her gown, wings and wand. Most of the kids came wearing their fairy costumes. Before the party ended, we awarded best dressed for girls and boys. I'm trying to upload some pix but there's something wrong sa blogger.. ano ba yun! I'll upload the pix later nalang..

hey fairy!! :)

Housewife no more

Francis would be really happy if I exert effort in learning how to cook. And that's what I did (but didn't) last Saturday. I planned to cook Kaldereta since it's his favorite. I called my mom to ask for the ingredients and instructions the night before. I was really prepared.. I was excited.. I even dreamt about it (as in!). I woke up expecting to tire myself from cooking but instead found a cooked Kaldereta on the dining table. Our maid cooked it herself!! Ugggh! I was really disappointed because I was looking forward to it.. It was partly my fault though because I didn't give a clear instruction that I'll be the one to do it. But still.... she could have waited for me.. it was only 9am excited naman sha mashado magluto ng lunch, diba?? hanubuzzzz... Yun na nga lang pwede ko magawa sa house to make myself useful, di ko pa magawa. :( I told my mom about what happened and she just laughed. May next time pa naman daw.. Goodluck! kung sipagin ulit ako! To forget my frustration.. nag videoke nalang ako all night. It was the bday of my bro kaya we had a small celebration.

Aug. 8, 2006
My 1st year at work, I ordered pizza and a cake for my HR family.. la lang, I'm just happy to share the blessings to my officemates. I have a good boss, nice officemates, cool benefits.. Looking forward to spending more years with Cebu Pacific.

Aug. 9-10, 2006
Alone again at home/DVD marathon. Francis went to Pampanga for an OB trip. To keep my mind from thinking about him.. Rhea and I went to Ruins. Shopping ulit! Kakaubos ng salary grabe.. Anyway, he went home the next day. We watched Poseidon and Imagine me and you.

o------o------o------o------o------

So many things to do, so little time.... waaaaah!

1st Year Anniversary

I still remember the time that I had my teaching demo and panel interview when I was still applying in Cebu Pacific last year. On August 8, it will be my 1st year with the company. I am excited! I will have unlimited FOC tickets to all our domestic destinations and 2 tickets for Hongkong. Francis will get free tickets as well. We were talking about it this morning and we can't decide where to go first. Nakakatuwa ksi para lang kami pupunta tagaytay. One hour yung plane ride then overnight tapos uwi the next day. :) I wanna take Francis to Bohol, Cebu, Davao, Iloilo, Dumaguete, Kalibo. :) I had fun ksi when I visited these places.

Tonight my brother will celebrate his bday. Kwentos and pictures tomorrow.. :)

Training Day 1

I was at the office early to prepare the training room for the orientation of our new employees. The training went well. I had only 8 participants but it was fun because they were all participative. I didn't realize how tired I was until they left. To stand up and talk the whole day nakakapagod talaga. I have two more days of Customer Service Workshop. I'll be seeing the same participants tom. I hope they will enjoy it as much as they enjoyed the orientation.

o=====o=====o=====o=====o

Tonight, I'll be watching the basketball game of Francis with his officemates. It was organized by Air Philippines. Being one of the clients of our "competitor" they were included in the line up of companies who can join the league. He's actually worried that I might watch the game using my CEB uniform. Even if I want to (he he) I'll go home first and change. They might kick me out of the court. :)

o=====o=====o=====o=====o

Nothing exciting is really happening. Same old, same old. I'm taking multivitamins now (w/ folic acid na). I wanna be ready just incase.. :) I'm happy with my friends in w@w who are preggy (Jacque and Leah). Shucks, come to think of it, we got married on the same day! Dec. 22 brides kami! Galing. :) It also means one thing, I might be next. He he.. congats again you guys! :)

Random Thoughts

  • My Legaspi trip did not push thru because my boss moved it for next week. But I won't be able to join them coz I've a scheduled training for the new employees here in Manila. It will be my 1st training since I got back from my long vacation that's why I'm excited. :)
  • Friday night- I was with Rhea and her husband at Harbor Square. We had dinner and coffee in Mocha Blends. It was my first time to try one of their drinks. I ordered White Chocolate Mocha and I liked it! Better than Starbuck I must say.
  • Yesterday, Francis and I watched "The Break Up" in Greenbelt 3. With a tumbler of barbecue popcorn and lemonade on hand, we enjoyed the movie all through out. There were a lot of scenes that made us really laugh and a certain scene near the end part where I cried. hi hi.. babaw. :)
  • I've an allergy since Tuesday, I'm not sure if the weather caused it or due to pressure at work, lumalabas na yung mga pantal ko sa arms and legs. I've had it na ksi when we were preparing for the wedding. Feeling ko talaga stress yun. Buti nalang may ointment pako natira. Hassle talaga. :(
  • Our flight to Singapore will start on Aug 28 ata. And sa Legaspi naman sa Aug 15. May mga promo rates kami so book na! Bangkok and Jakarta to follow.. antabayanan.. :)
  • We said our goodbyes to our DC9 aircrafts last wednesday and welcomed our new aircrafts (Airbus A319 and A320). Di na matatakot si Francis sumakay ng Cebu Pacific he he
  • Thanks dun sa mga nangungumusta.. I'm glad di nyo ko kinakalimutan.. hi hi drama.. ok naman ako may bangs parin he he.. even if I don't post nagbabasa parin ako ng mga entries nyo. :)
